Antoine Dodson is having a baby? According to his twitter and facebook, the Bedroom
Intruder-youtube sensation and his girlfriend will soon be parents. Dodson has publicly denounced the gay lifestyle and pronounced himself straight. No word yet on whether he and his girlfriend are planning marriage.

Get Ready for A Very Mary Christmas. Mary J. Blige is set to release her first holiday album on October 15th. The CD will features 12 classic holiday remakes and duets with Barbara Streisand, The Clark Sisters and Marc Anthony. Grammy Award-winning Producer David Foster produced the project.

The family of Marvin Gaye has been hit with another scandal. The female singing group Roxxy Montana are claiming they are the grandchildren of the late singer. They recently appeared on the singing reality show The X-Factor. Family members of Marvin Gaye claim they have no idea who the members of Roxxy Montana are or who their father is. The group's father is alleged to be another son of Marvin Gaye. The Gaye family is demanding a DNA test. No one knew of another son by Marvin Gaye, the only known kids are daughter Nona, the singer/actress, and sons Marvin, III and Frankie Gaye. Did the late Motown legend have
another secret child, and did that child grow up and have three daughters. Family members claim if it's proven Roxxy Montana are Gaye's granddaughters, they will be welcomed with open arms.

Bishop TD Jakes' BET talk show (Mind, Body & Soul) debuts October 6th.

Congrats to Beyonce! The Single Ladies diva won an Emmy award for her halftime
performance at the Superbowl this year. Bruno Mars is scheduled for the Superbowl Halftime show in 2014.

The Soul Train Awards are happening December 1st on the BET and Centric networks. Anthony Anderson is hosting.

The new season of FOX’s X-Factor kicked off to less than spectacular ratings. Even with new addition Kelly Rowland alongside Simon Cowell, the ratings were just so so. If the show produced a real winner, someone with a hit record and launched a career, I think The X-Factor would be taken more seriously. Since the show's debut, they have yet to produce a real star. Meanwhile in other Kelly Rowland news, has the former Destiny's Child singer secretly married her longtime boyfriend/Manager Tim Witherspoon? Sources say the two got hitched in a private ceremony earlier this year.

In more singing reality show news, Singer Miguel is joining The Voice. The new season kicks off Monday, September 23rd on NBC with Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Miguel will serve as a mentor on the show.

Singer John Legend tied the knot with Victoria's Secret Model Chrissy Teigen, and Miami Heat-NBA champ LeBron James and Savannah Brinson have also jumped the broom. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Get ready for The Preachers Of L.A. debuting on the Oxygen network October 9th.
Featured pastors include Deitrick Haddon and Bishop Noel Jones. Bishop Jones is the twin brother of Singer/Actress/Model Grace Jones. The 65-year old Pull Up To The Bumper icon is writing a tell all book, which is due out next fall. Besides the club classic “Bumper,”
Jones is also known for her appearances in the films Boomerang with Eddie Murphy and in the James Bond classic A View To A Kill with Roger Moore.

With such low ratings, will the VH1 network continue with the reality show Basketball Wives Miami? Word has it Tami Roman is already talking about leaving the show after a season of clashes with Show Creator Shaunie O’Neal and Castmember Evelyn Lozada.

A big congrats to MC Lyte! The legendary rapper is getting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Hip Hop Awards October 15th on BET. Previous winners of the award include Salt N' Pepa, Russell Simmons, Ice Cube, Rakim and Grandmaster Flash. You can check out MC
Lyte as the house DJ on The Queen Latifah Show, which air locally at 3pm on CBS3.

Singer Fantasia returns to Broadway November 3rd in the musical After Midnight. The musical is being led by Jazz Great Wynton Marsalis, and will feature The Jazz At The Lincoln Center All-Stars. The musical is about the legendary Cotton Club.

NeNe Leakes kicked off her spinoff I Dream Of NeNe to good ratings on the Bravo network. She is sporting a new look. In addition to two nose jobs and dental work. Leakes has had lipo on her chin, botox on her forehead, and she is wearing long hair. Leakes spinoff focuses on her re-marriage to first husband Gregg and the battles with his friends and the bridal party.

Scandal Star Columbus Short is divorcing his wife Tanee McCall-Short. The Stomp The Yard Actor and his wife have a 19-month old daughter. This is his second marriage. Published reports say an alleged affair with Singer Britney Spears when Short was her backup dancer doomed his first marriage. Short plays “Harrison Wright” on Scandal. The new season kicks off October 3rd on ABC.

The Lifetime network is presenting The Gabby Douglas Story. Imani Hakim, who played the baby sister on Everybody Hates Chris, is starring as Douglass. Last year, Douglas was the Olympic darling becoming the first African American to become the individual all around champion and team Olympic winner for U.S. Women's Gymnastics. The movie will also star Regina King, Sydney Mikayla, Natalie Hawkins and S. Epatha Merkerson. The Gabby Douglas Story is slated to premiere on Lifetime in 2014.

We remember Ken Norton, Sr. The former heavyweight boxing champion has died. Norton suffered a series of health problems including a stroke in recent years. Norton beat Muhammad Ali in a 1973 split decision. Ali beat Norton in both their rematches, including at Yankee Stadium in 1976. Norton also acted appearing on television in Knight Rider and The A-Team and the big screen in Mandingo and Drum. Former Champs Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson and George foreman took to social media and interviews to remember their friend Norton fondly. Ken Norton, Sr. died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 70.

Tyler Perry will be joining Oscar Winner Ben Affleck in the movie Gone Girl. Perry will play a lawyer assisting Affleck. Filming starts next month. Meanwhile on December 13th, get ready for Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas  starring Anna Marie Horsford (Amen) and Tika Sumpter (The Haves & Have Nots). Perry is also working on new DVD projects: Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned and Madea's Neighbors From Hell.

Tamar Braxton and Baby Logan are the cover stars for the latest edition of Ebony magazine. Braxton new CD, Love And War, is topping the charts. In Ebony, she opens up about her battle with infertility, and she addresses those plastic surgery rumors. Braxton fesses up to only getting botox.

Actress Viola Davis is the cover girl for Essence magazine. Davis is one of the stars of the new movie Prisoners with Hugh Jackman and Terrence Howard. Prisoners opens in theatres this Friday.

Look for a lot of Oscar Buzz surrounding Lee Daniels' The Butler. The surprise summer blockbuster has already grossed over $100 million at the box office. It only cost $30 million dollars to make.



Ben Jealous is stepping down president of the NAACP. Jealous, 40, is leaving his post at the end of the year. He led the NAACP for five years. Jealous says he wants more time with his wife and two kids ages 7 and 13 months.

Newlywed Kerry Washington's drama Scandal returns for its third season October 3rd on ABC. Check her  out on the latest edition of Glamour magazine. Washington, 36, has been keeping a low profile with her recent marriage to NFL Player Nnamdi Asomugha, 31. Many  people are speculating that this union may just be a publicity stunt because no one has seen pictures of the two together.

Jay Z’s Made In America Philadelphia concert will be a Showtime special that will air October 11th on the cable network. Oscar-winning Director Ron Howard is behind the
documentary.

Sunny Anderson of The Food Network is getting ready for the release of her new cookbook. The book, Sunny's Kitchen: Easy Food For Real Life, is available now.

Actor Laz Alonzo (Jumping The Broom) returns to the big screen this Friday for the movie Battle of The Year.

Eddie Murphy is back to making music. Murphy has a new album on the way called 9. The Comedy and Acting Icon's first single from the CD is the Reggae-flavored Red Light with Snoop Lion, a.k.a. Rapper Snoop Dogg.

Singer Ruben Studdard is the newest member of TV's The Biggest Loser. He now weighs 462 pounds, and his weight is a matter of health. Studdard will soon turn 35-years old and knows the future is bleak without serious weight loss. When he last topped the scales at over 450 pounds, he exercised, became a vegan and that helped. But, when he couldn't keep the weight off, the one time American Idol champion began looking for a permanent solution of hard work and dedication. The Biggest Loser's season premiere is October 8th on NBC.

Blair Underwood returns to TV in the remake of the classic detective drama Ironside. The show debuts Wednesday, October 2nd on NBC.

Actor Chadwick Boseman will be playing James Brown in a new movie based on the life of The Godfather of Soul. Boseman recently starred as Jackie Robinson in the movie 42, which grossed $95 million at the box office earlier this year. Legendary Rocker Mick Jagger is one of the producers for the project. James Brown had to be one of the most influential entertainers of all time and his showmanship was outstanding. Brown influenced many of the top artists of all time including Michael Jackson, Prince, Justin Timberlake and Usher. Filming starts next month in Mississippi on the yet to be titled biopic of Soul Brother Number 1.

Toni Braxton re-teams with Babyface with the CD Love, Marriage and Divorce. The project is coming out December 3rd.

Kevin Hart's Real Husbands Of Hollywood TV parody returns to BET Tuesday, October 15th at 10pm.

The TLC movie is airing on VH1 October 21st. The TV biopic stars Lil' Mama, Keke Palmer and Drew Sidora. The movie is based on the lives of the TLC group members Tionne “T-Boz”
Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. 

The 76ers’ home opener is Wednesday, October 30th when they host the World Champion Miami Heat at the Wells Fargo Center.

Earth, Wind & Fire return with a new CD entitled Now, Then, Forever. It's available now.

Upcoming movies:

David E. Talbert's Baggage Claim with Paula Patton, Jill Scott, Boris Kodjoe, Trey Songz, Taye Diggs, Dijmon Hounsou and Derek Luke, opens in theatres September 27th. I saw the movie in a preview screening and it’s a fun, romantic comedy.

The Best Man sequel, The Best Man Holiday, with Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Sanaa Lathan, opens in theatres November 15th.
