What a week for weddings! Oscar Winner Halle Berry tied the knot with French Actor Oliver Martinez. After vowing to never marry again, Berry, 46, married the father of her future child. Berry and Martinez, 47,  are expecting a boy in late summer. Singing Legend Tina Turner, 73, married her longtime love Erwin Bach, 57, earlier this week. Turner has been with her much younger boyfriend for over 25 years. Dexter King, 52, the youngest son of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., married his longtime love Entrepreneur and former Broadcast Journalist Leah Weber. The couple will reside in Malibu, CA., where Dexter has lived for sometime. Late night talk show Host Jimmy Kimmel, 45, also got married, but during the ceremony he was surprised by Actress Gabourey Sidibe (Precious), who showed up dressed up in a wedding gown and came walking down the aisle to prank him. Kimmel actually married Molly McNearney.

Tamar Braxton looks like she's got another hit on her hands with the daytime talker The Real, but is there trouble in paradise? The critics really like the show, which airs on FOX29 11am weekdays, and early audience response has been great. Braxton, though, had planned to be in her own show. With The Real, she shares the spotlight with Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley (Sister, Sister), Singer Adrienne Bailon (The Cheetah Girls) and Comedienne Loni Love. Braxton has been seperating herself from the rest of the hosts feeling she is the star and the only one married to a rich guy, Manager Vince Herbert. The Real is holding its own compared to other newcomers being ignored
like Kris Jenner's show.

Bobby Brown is still feuding with his daughter Bobbi Kris, and he is not happy that she going ahead with her wedding plans to play brother/fiance Nick Gordon. Bobbi Kris has been estranged from her father since the passing of her mother Whitney Houston. Bobbi Kris is now sporting a toned figure and a new engagement ring. Brown admits he is not happy with his daughter's decision, and he feels she is making a big mistake. The singer wishes Bobbi  Kris would reach out to him so they can repair their relationship, but feel she is being influenced by the wrong people and has a bad attitude.

I'm His Girlfriend! Yes, love is in the air for the Reverend Al Sharpton, at least that's the view of the new lady he's dating. The MSNBC host is on a roll with a top-rated talk show, and he has found a new love. Sharpton, 58, has been divorced for five years, but now he is dating a 35-year old personal stylist. Aisha McShaw has publicly stated she is Sharpton's girlfriend, but the Rev. has been quiet. Sharpton loves the public spotlight, but not when it focuses on his personal life. A couple of years ago there was talk of the Rev. and Actress LisaRaye, but Sharpton denied it.

No jail for Allen Iverson! The former basketball superstar has avoided jail time by giving $40,000 to his ex-wife Tawanna. He owed her alimony. After a recent judge's decision, he gave in and avoided
imprisonment.

It’s official, Jenny McCarthy has joined The View. McCarthy is no stranger to the show, the former Playboy Playmate and ex-MTV host has been a View guest 17 times. The new season for The View kicks off September 9th, and will have a whole new look with the departures of Hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar. Barbara Walters is leaving in 2014 for retirement.

Get ready for the return of Maxwell. The singer will be releasing a new album for the first time in 4 years. The album, Summers, is coming out this fall. Maxwell is currently topping the charts with Alicia
Keys and their song Fire We Make.

Season 3 of Scandal is set for a Thursday, October 3rd season premiere on ABC. The BET network just snatched up the rights for the syndication of seasons 1 and 2. They will start airing those reruns in late summer. Scandal star Kerry Washington, a.k.a. Mrs. Nnamdi Asomugha, is on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The Cos returns to TV.  Bill Cosby is coming to cable's Comedy Central with a concert film of his stand up comedy. The special, Far From Finished, is directed by Robert Townsend, who also directed Eddie Murphy's record breaking comedy concert, Raw, 25 years ago. It's a reunion because Cosby, 76, was in Townsend's film Meteor Man in 1993. Cosby's Far From Finished will air on Comedy Central on November 24th, marking the 30th anniversary of 1983's Bill Cosby: Himself, the concert film that
became the basis of The Cosby Show.

Jet magazine is undergoing a makeover. Starting in August, you will notice a brighter cover and a new logo.

The MTV Video Music Awards are happening August 25th. Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke are leading the nominations.

Oscar Winner Denzel Washington made Forbes' list of highest paid actors. Washington took a paycut for his hit film Flight, but took a percentage of the box office receipts. The movie made over $162 million, and he walked away with a reported $33 million. The two-time Oscar winner's new movie, 2 Guns with Mark Wahlberg and Paula Patton, comes out August 2nd. Check out Denzel and his wife Pauletta on the cover of the latest Ebony magazine.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who came in at number 5 on the Forbes actor's list thanks to GI Joe: Retaliation and Fast & The Furious VI, covers the August issue of Essence magazine for their Baddest Brothers Of 2013 edition.

Beyonce naked? Yes! She's on the cover of Flaunt magazine. Mrs. Carter looks quite different, but good.

Singer Toni Braxton is breathing a sigh of relief now that her bankruptcy case is over. She paid $150,000 to wipe the slate clean. Braxton is currently on tour. She's also reuniting with Babyface to work on a new album of duets with him.

Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor, starring Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams, Brandy and Kim Kardashian, is now available on DVD.

Former CNN Contributor Roland Martin has a new show coming to TV One. Martin is hosting a daily, one hour news show, News One Now, that will launch in September. Martin already hosts the TV One Sunday news show Washington Watch.

The 90’s singing trio SWV is getting their own reality show. Coko, Lelee and Taj will debut their show on the WE TV channel next year. SWV is coming to Philly on Thursday, August 8th in concert with Bell Biv Devoe at the Dell Music Center, 33rd and Ridge.

Stevie Wonder is working on his first ever gospel CD. Stevie says he is keeping a promise he made to his mother, the late Lula Mae Hardaway. The project is due out next year.

Wayne Brady will be joining the final season of How I Met Your Mother on CBS. He is also the current host of the CBS daytime game show Let’s Make A Deal.

The movie version of Black Nativity opens in theatres November 27th  starring Angela Bassett, Mary J. Blige, Forest Whitaker and Jennifer Hudson.

Oprah Winfrey is bringing back fan favorite Welcome To Sweetie Pie's to the OWN lineup on July 27th.

The PBS network will be airing a new special, The March, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1963 March On Washington. It was at that civil rights event where the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his epic I Have A Dream speech. The special airs August
27
th on PBS.

Arsenio Hall returns to late night TV in September 9th. His show will air locally on MYphl17.

Earth, Wind & Fire return with a new CD entitled Now, Then, Forever. The CD comes out September 10th.

The R&B Hall Of Fame induction ceremony takes place October 3rd. This year's honorees include The Temptations, James Brown, The O’Jays, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Miracles, Jackie Wilson, The Marvelettes and Marvin Gaye.

Queen Latifah is getting some help from Rocker Lenny Kravitz for her new TV talk show. Kravitz has a set design firm, and he will be designing the set for the Queen's new talk show. Queen Latifah makes her debut on CBS September 16th.

It's another edition of Motown-Philly as Motown Founder Berry Gordy is being honored with The Marian Anderson Award on November 19th. The festivities, including a performance tribute, will take place at the Kimmel Center at Broad and Spruce Streets.

Upcoming movies:

The Lee Daniels film The Butler, with Oscar Winner Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey, hits theatres August 16th. The movie is about White House Butler Eugene Allen, who served under 8 presidents from 1952 to 1986.

David E. Talbert's Baggage Claim with Paula Patton, Jill Scott, Boris Kodjoe, Trey Songz, Taye Diggs, Dijmon Hounsou and Derek Luke, opens in theatres September 27th.

The Best Man sequel, The Best Man Holiday, with Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Sanaa Lathan, opens in theatres
November 15
th.
