    Dawn A. - Ms. Tootsies
I was raised around some of the best cooks at home, and Ms. Tootsie gives me a taste of home when there is no time to spend cooking soul food.

    N&F General Contracting/Jerome Woods
Great customer svc, family oriented business, inexpensive home repairs in my neighborhood. North Philly! These guys are professionals who help to improve the Hood with exception carpenters and plumbers.

Next Level Barbershop - Felecia L.
Next Level Barbershop in Pottstown, PA is the best barbershop in Pottstown. Not only because of their superior skills but also because they are a very clean & professional establishment and they partner with the Salvation Army in which they provide free haircuts to Salvation Army residents, helping them be prepared for job interviews & other appointments they may have while they transition from homelessness to a new start in life. They are defiantly taking it to the NEXT LEVEL!

    N'zinga Debrick - JulieAnne C.
They have really great jewelry at low prices, and they are located in a downtown area that is undergoing revitalization.

Bliss Elements Salon & Spa – Brittney S.
There is something to be said about having a great relationship with your hair stylist. Each time you have an appointment it should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Healthy hair starts with a stress free environment and a strong personal relationship with your "miracle worker" I absolutely LOVE my salon and my stylist. Bliss Elements is excellent. The service is great. They put just as much love into customer service as they do into the treatment of your hair. They offer so much that they are by far not just a salon- but a one-stop place to "Just Be"

Sweet Spot Caribbean Restaurant – Shelly B.
Great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. Who would have "thunk" that you could get great island cuisine in Doylestown! Menu caters to the culinary mild at heart to the bold and adverturous.

    Angie K. - Mr. Wing
THEE BEST CHICKEN in Delco hands down!! The chargrilled chicken is out of this world. The kids platters are like adult servings. A must go if you're in the area. Always friendly staff too.

    Eva H. - Fitzgerald's Seafood Restaurant
The food is amazing and there's not many places that come close to my mother's home cooking. What's so special about it is it's laid back and affordable. I haven't heard a complaint yet. People from all walks of life enjoy this restaurant.

    Anita F. - Relish
The resturant has be best food and Sunday brunch. They also have a great Friday karaoke. It is our girlfriend hang out spot.
  •
Gloria B. - Foot Fetish Shoes
They are clean, respectful and family-oriented. Good family inclined clothes are very nice and good prices. The best small business in the world.
  •
    Deltas Restaurant – Andrea M.
Because it is a classy spot that has jazz night, live bands, and the best southern food ever. The mac and cheese is served in an individual bowl of its own because it's too good to touch rest of food lol and service is always good.

Carl Miller Funeral Home – Natasha H.
Although it is a bit unorthodox to select a funeral home as a "Hood Spot", this funeral home is like no other. The staff is very friendly and has a genuine desire to care for those who have experienced a loss. The business is a family business that has been around for years and has handled several of my loved ones’ arrangements. The manager is involved with the community and has a genuine stake within the "hood" community of Camden, NJ. This is why Carl Miller Funeral Home is my favorite "Hood Spot"!

Cheryl’s Southern Style - Chester may have a lot of problems in the city, but I think most could be cured by a meal from my favorite "hood spot" Cheryl's Southern Style. This is the next best thing to my southern grandmother's cooking. My mouth is watering at the thought! My hood spot is better than yours! :-P

This is just a community BBQ. You show up, you're invited. Nobody is denied. Enough food for everybody.
  •
Lorenzo and Sons Pizza - I love this "hood spot" because in my opinion, they have the best pizza in town. Not only are the slices really huge (enough for two people), but the quality is out of sight. Lorenzo's is located in downtown Philly on South Street, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza!

    Turkey Chop
Because it\'s across the street from Cease Fire and continually gives back to the neighborhood
